Hi! My name is Kate, but my friends call me Katie. I am a freelance editor with a focus in the natural history film industry. I have worked on shows such as Maui Shark Mystery (Nat Geo TV and Disney+), Alaska Animal Rescue (Nat Geo Wild and Disney+), If You Lived Here (WETA), Italy Made With Love (WETA), and The Real Black Panther (Disney+).
I am native to Washington, DC, and love it so much, I haven’t left! I am a graduate of American University, and while studying there, I gained experience in all areas of production. Some of my experiences include spending a week in a remote Nicaraguan rainforest where I filmed wildlife and local culture, and going to Wye Island in the Chesapeake Bay to create a video on the need for more wildlife rehabilitation centers.
